Child safety standards
Circlio has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This page explains what is prohibited, how to report it, and what we do.
Our policy
Circlio prohibits child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any content or behaviour that sexualises, exploits, grooms or endangers a child. This applies everywhere in the app: profiles and photos, circles, events, posts, comments, stories, group chats and direct messages. It also applies to offline behaviour connected to aCirclio event or introduction.
Breaking this rule leads to removal of the content and permanent removal of the account. See also our community guidelines.
Adults only
Circlio is for people aged 18 and over. We ask for your date of birth when you sign up and do not let anyone under 18 create an account. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it.
If you believe a member is under 18, report their profile in the app or email us so we can review it.
How to report
- In the app: use the Report option on a person, circle, event, post, comment or chat message.
- By email: write to info@circlio.social with the subject “Child safety report”. Include a link or the name of the profile, circle or event, and what you saw. Do not forward the material itself.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact the police first. In India, call 112.
How we respond
- Reports are reviewed by our team. Reports about child safety are handled first.
- Text content is also scanned automatically. Content that clearly breaks our rules is hidden straight away, pending review.
- We remove violating content, and warn, suspend or permanently remove the accounts responsible.
- We keep the relevant records so that they can be passed to the authorities, as described below.
