how ranking works

Paying never adds points.
Entry is free and nothing is for sale. A free event and a paid event score exactly the same, and no purchase changes your rank.
Only real check-ins count
Check-in points come from verified QR scans at the door, by ID-verified Circlio accounts. RSVPs alone score nothing.
Caps keep it honest
Up to 2 check-ins a day score for members, and up to 8 hosted events a season for hosts. An event counts once 5 people check in.
Ties are broken on merit
Equal points? The host with more unique attendees, or the member with more events, goes first; then whoever got there earlier. Never a draw.
Votes are capped
Signed-in people can vote for your Circlio card once a day. Each vote adds +5, up to +250 a season. Bought votes and fake accounts are disqualified.
Every winner is checked
Before results go out we review the top of each board for duplicate accounts, fake check-ins and device farming.
